If you do not believe in a person, then whatever good he does still invites doubt in yourself. Without realizing it you find there is always a fault in his actions. Broke our distrust sharper than excoriation.
Conversely, if you believe in someone, all the mistakes he did was the starting point for improvement. Unwittingly, you are encouraged to fix and fill the shortage. Trust is a critical safety net for every jumper who failed.
Success is not just for your own hard work, there is definitely a stretch net overlaid confidence by your supervisor. While failure often caused the failure, you gain the trust of others.
Uniquely, you will only gain trust when you want to trust other people as well. Strong rope twisted in a strong knot. Mutual trust is a much stronger knot.
